Just read from pages 150 till now... Man you all make 60hz seem so old! Even at 1440p. I may just have a snatch a benq 2420xl if there's a deal somewhere black friday. Really want to experience 3d and 120hz for BF3. Gatta get my kd above 3! (I brag, i brag biggrin.gif)

Well Protocol 2 has no native surround support and states not recommended for 3d vision. But in 1080p actually some parts look really good in 3d! Depth was amazing! Cut scenes are completely off so i just switch to 2d during cut scenes. But the game is very playable in 3d so far. Now I just need to find a surround fix...... BTW the game story line is amazing so far. Kind of ties into the AMC "Walking Dead" series I have been watching. Anyone who has not seen that its a MUST SEE!

Edit. Nevermind. Next level with daylight shadows are completely wrong.

Yeah I'm an FPS guy, played COD when quickscoping was respectable. But i digress. REALLY want to test out 120hz, do Frys have any to test? no Microcenter in SoCal.

Fry's has a few 120hz/3d monitors. The best IMO are the Samsung S27A950D for 2d 120hz only, & Asus VG278H for 2d 120hz & 3d.

Once you go 120hz for FPS games you will never go back. It looks gorgeous and actually gives you a slight advantage in multiplayer with decreasing input lag a small amount. But to take advantage of a 120hz monitor you need a lot of GPU power and have your average @ 100fps. In BF3 you will need 670 SLI to get that high framerate.

You know those moments when you think it can't get better than this, this is the pinnacle of gaming right now? I had one tonight on my 3d surround gaming setup and thought i'd share it.

Which game was it Emett? Links don't work on my iPad. Gotta wait to check it out when I get home.

Anyone try the huge Boarderland 2 PC patch that released today? I saw 3d vision and fluid PhysX on the long list of fixes.
