3d surround will definitly put a hurting on 580 SLI. Take a benchmark of 2d 1920x1080 and divide by 5= your 3d surround FPS @ 5760x1080 That means if your 2d 1080p game is running @ 100fps, your 3d surround will run @ 20fps, so you need a ton of GPU horsepower for 3d surround. 2 games that do use pseudo 3d is Crysis 2 & 3. So there will be hardly any performance hit from 2d surround vs 3d surround, but with 2d surround you still need 3x the performance as 1 monitor.
Trine 2 IS A MUST IN 3D SURROUND!
My other top 3d surround games are Max Payne 3, Burn Out Paradise, NFS Hot Pursuit (using Helix mod for 3d shadows), & Sleeping Dogs.
