I do remember one guy had a vg278he and had tons of ghohsting in 2d Lightboost and 3d. It sound like it was a defective monitor, like the back strobelight (Lightboost) was not in sync correctly. Have you tested with Lightboost disabled?
Don't understand how the monitor could be faulty but who knows. Lightboost on/off doesn't seem to make a difference in the crosstalk. The 3D vision 2 glasses aren't any different aside from physical construction, are they?
Speaking of 2D light boost, I just gave it a shot and I'm honestly not seeing a difference. Guess my eyes/brain aren't up to snuff. LCDs never felt "right" coming from a CRT, and the jump to a 120hz LCD was absolutely mind blowing for me. Clearly 2D light boost works, there's empirical data proving it. Oh well.
Update: I actually read the article at BlurBusters (http://www.blurbusters.com/zero-motion-blur/lightboost/
) and now I'm a little confused. The article says your frame rate needs to be at or above the refresh rate to work. Which would explain why I can't tell a difference, as I average 70-90 in BF3, but adjusting the lightboost level affects brightness regardless of frame rate. Now I'm just all kinds of confused.Edited by pewpewlazer - 3/23/13 at 11:48am
