Been playing Metro Last Light in my new 1440p 27´´ monitor at very high settings and it´s very very good looking, the creppy ambient gets even scarier with such level of detail.
Now I am devided, I cannot decide if I prefer playing like this or in 3D Vision on my 100 inch 720p projection screen...the 3D is great and with 4x AA we can improve the low resolution but I really like to play in 1440p in this monitor...

if only we could have the best of both worlds... Why can we have 1440p 120hz 3d vision?

I think it might be very hard to do so with IPS panels.

Even if they can work at 120hz, 3D might be out of the question :(

I don't think that the extra resolution would benefit much for 3d in typical monitor sizes.

I have a 120hz catleap and even with that if I can play in 3d generally I'll choose to use my 3d display. I won't be playing last light on my catleap.

I must say that today after playing a couple of hours on both ways I decided that unfortunately I will not play the game in 3d vision. The low resolution makes everything look worse (now that I experienced 1440p with my new qnix qx2710 I realized that) and my accuracy is terrible at 720p, even being a 100 inch screen. For some time now I only used the 3d vision set for gaming (movies were interesting at first but not anymore) so I feel sad to say this but now the glasses will just gain dust. :-(

I chose to play with a pj. I also have benq lb 3d display, but size matters. thumb.gif

I only applied sweetfx smaa +fxaa. Metro also utilizes its own AAA by default. That combination got rid of jaggies pretty nicely.

Hi smile.gif

Could someone who manages to play YouTube videos in 3D. Try my latest attempt at getting an "NVidia 3D game capture" to work on YouTube please biggrin.gif

I'm thinking I might have managed it, but I'm getting a message saying no 3D hardware detected rolleyes.gif

I will try it tomorrow. Sorry, today I was just stunned with playing Dear Esther, did you played it yet? It's single handed the best visual experience I have ever seen in a game. The 4th chapter, in the caves, is fantastic

I just since reading your post, played it through again!
And apart from the water, the game really does look nice in 3D thumb.gif
I use 50% depth!
But that Metro Last Light is maybe better though smile.gif

I installed Mozilla Firefox and got my Metro LL YouTube movie working in HTML5. But in HTML5 it plays at 32:9 headscratch.gif
And yet I had used the 16:9 tag!
yt3d:aspect=16:9
And the only other tag I use is yt3d:enable=true

So yeah, when you get chance, let me know how it plays for you thumb.gif
