I like my cheapo setup but a curved screen would be sweet perhaps in V.3 of my Virtual Flight simulator I dubbed it..
Hi mate. Ive been through the whole projector thing. Was going to go a few different mad setups but decided to hold back. Give it 2 years and we will have nvidia endorsed led projectors. The noise and the heat from 3x bulb projector s ridiculous. Also led can be mount for portrait which would be sweet. Last year if I could have bought 3 optoma gt720 I would have but globes are a bandit and age differently.
I nearly bought 6 axaa showtime 3d leds then rear project through acrylic with suitable dispersion film but I needed a bit bigger room than the 10 by 11 that my wife has let me have. Lol
To be honest surround 3d projection would be great but the input lag cam be high and the motion blur is through the roof.
Also whats wrong with surround 3d arma 2. It works fine just got to play with the settings. It funny playing dayz and the back pack extruding out of the screen.
I wonder if eyefinity can do 3d on multiplescreens they dont have an emitter to help sync.
A good thing about amd and projectors is you can have 2 images in 16:9 blended together that goes well on curved screens.
Anyone interested in curved screens need to look up brad hawthorne at nthusim. Very helpful and started as a hobbyist and is now employed to ro custom builds all over the place for show and exhibits. As I said nice guy and will give anyone his knowledge.Edited by hatlesschimp - 8/24/13 at 4:07pm
