It looks like I need a vid card upgrade as at 1920x1080 with 3D on, I sit around 30 FPS with the 3 games I tried. 1680x1050 is better at around 45 FPS. I haven't played much so far and the 3D is extremely noticable but seems fuzzy at times especially during action cut scenes (could be my eyes trying to get used to it). I'm sure I have some tweaking to do since I changed very little settings wise. So far I have played borderlands, devil may cry and resident evil 5 (I don't notice the 3D nearly as much in RE5 compared to the other 2 games even though it has the best nvidia rating).

Will take a couple pics when I can! So far so good!
Have you messed with the depths or convergence? That will help you give you the best 3d experience, adjust it to the depth that you find comfortable and if there is any ghosting at that level of depth mess around with the convergence and tweak it til ghosting is minimal or nil.

Quick question for any VG236H owners:
Is anyone having issues where 3D mode on the monitor (OSD actually shows 3D mode) will not turn off after playing a 3D game and the OSD stays locked down with limited settings even when going back to the desktop in 2D mode? I would like to use the button for the different splendid modes and brightness button. The only way I can get it out of the 3D mode is by rebooting the computer. Is there some sort of button combination to force the monitor out of 3D mode which will unlock the OSD again? Thank you again for any help.

I played with depth and can only handle the default, haven't played with convergence yet. Will do some more testing in RE5 hopefully by the weekend.

Regarding your comment about buying haphazardly and being disappointed; then upgrading to the best products has seem to be a problem Ive been caught in too. I didn't think about or plan my build....I just bought components without thinking things through. For example, I have two HIS 5830s (2 months old) and a 26" 1920x1200 Samsung Syncmaster T260 that can't be used for 3d surround. Oh well, thats what happens when you don't think about your builds. You did, and built an AWESOME rig! Lastly, your EK SLI watercooling connector is gorgeous. I understand why you want better waterflow, but that EK connector is sweet! I hope you re-think that decision. Anyway, congrats on your rig of the month!
Thanks and yeah it always hurts having to sell almost new stuff, learned hard way too

So are you planning something now?

Yes I am. My case is pretty *****y. I wish I bought something on par with the Corsair 800D. My major concern is the heat my 470s are generating. I'm using MSI Afterburner's fan controler to keep temps down (my clocks are stock). Using Nvidia's "auto" fan control doesn't get the job done. Therefore, when I start playing games like Crysis Wars online, the noise of the fans become unbearable. Yesterday, I played for about a half an hour and then went downstairs to watch TV. When I was downstairs (with my tv on) I could still hear the fans from the 470s!!! Way too loud!!!

I want to set up a watercooling loop for my video cards (at the very least) however my case is not configured properly on the top section (unless I mod it). I'll have to cut out the entire top part of the case and drill screw holes to accept a 360 rad. Therefore, I'm considering the external Koolance Exos 2.5 watercooling system. My only concern is if my PSU can handle the Exos 2.5. I'm a novice when it comes to PSUs, so I don't know if I can add more componenets to it. I did ask this question on the site yesterday and two out of three posters stated I had enough juice to handle the Exos 2.5.

What do you think? Also, could the Exos 2.5 handle an OCed i7 930 and two 470s or should I just have it cool the 470s?

Your PSU should be fine with the Exos, you'll get rid of 2x Delta 21W fans on the cards so all in all there wouldn't be that much power draw increase.

As for the heat dissipation if what Koolance advertise - you should be fine for CPU too, just pick little restriction block (EK Supreme HF), same goes for GPUs - EK are low restriction and do the job well.

Thanks Luke. I'll take your advice and go with the EK blocks for the 470s.
