[Official] Nvidia 3d Vision + 3d Surround Club - Page 86

Question running 3D gaming on a single 23" 120Hz monitor at 1920x1200 resolution.

I have a GTX 580 and curious how it will do running 3D gaming like Crysis, & Metro 2033 heavy graphical games in rendering 3D for me?

Is anyone using less of a GPU like a GTX 570 or 560 and how is that working?

Just curious as I'm getting ready to pull the trigger in June for the glasses and wondering if I should be thinking GTX 580 SLI to pull off best performance under 3D gaming?

Had the glasses for a week or so now and forgot to get added to the club!

Looking at the picture, I seemed to forgot to tilt my monitor back to normal lol.

OMG, doh. How did I even miss that....ROFL at myself.

Cool, I was hoping it wouldn't be needed to SLI my card right away. I'm waiting for prices to drop eventually, since one card for gaming is no problem atm. Thanks JCG.

It's been a long five months of building this rig as each piece from ground up was moving toward 3D. I'm a pair of glasses away in anticipation of 3D gaming and watching 3D movies.

I'm planning to buy a 560Ti, but seeing only one member is using a 560Ti I'm pretty insecure about the 3d performance.

Would it be more on the safe side to get a 570 for 3d gaming on 1920x1080?
I'm not gonna play on Ultra settings, or looking for highest FPS. Just a good bang for buck 3d setup

Thanks!

Finally, after changing 3x GTX 480 to 2x GTX 580 3GB I'm getting playable max details:

All in benchmarks run with:
Settings: Maximum
AA: 8x
Resolution: 6000x1080
Stereo: 3D

1) Mafia II
Average: 32.5
VRAM Usage: 1050

2) F1 2010
Average: 39
VRAM Usage: 2600

3) Just Cause 2 - Desert Sunrise
Average: 34
VRAM Usage: 1300

4) Dirt 2
Average: 53
VRAM Usage: 2200

All run @ my OC 24/7 settings

There are other great side effect to these 580s too:
- no more flicker in side monitors in 3D Surround (there was pulsing brightness change with 480s, not sure why, I could live with it but it was annoying)
- no more black textures in the distance in Mafia while driving

SO I got the optoma hd67n up and running with 3d vision. Im sorry to say that Im not happy:/. Im getting somewhat 3d vision but nothing like cinema(not that I thought that it would be THAT great). Friend of mine have bought the same projector and his like, WOW, awsome experience. Im thinking its something wrong with either hardware, 3d vision package or the optoma it self. I got a pair of 580 lightnings to test with on monday. Then I can rule out HW.

Its gonna be hard trying to tell what Im experiencing, but Im gonna give it a go:

So, if Im trying to play BC2, U all know that the mcoms have a pink/red square oveer/around it? Well the things far away seems like its a dobble vision. Im not seeing the square next to each other, but on top ove each other but not in sync, so to speak.

F*** this wasnt easy to explain. Things behind the closest thing i look at is kind of blury so the 3d effect isnt really there.

Ill try to explain more if U want to. Just ask
