just wanted to comment and say the best drivers i've found so far are probably these
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles...or3DGames.aspx
had less issue with those than the newest cat, and a few others i tried
sad part is those drivers i had to dig up, they weren't anywhere on any front page, or anywhere easily accessible on amd/ati's site, which kinda annoys me

because i was having issues a while back, you can read about it here

update: the new 9.10 drivers are working very nicely for my card
my friends (also a 4670 but Asus) seems to have gotten FPS drop, not sure why, his settings are the same he says, he also idles at higher temps, only big difference i see is he's running win7, so i assume its the nicer looking desktop that does it (i mostly test in WinXP)

Hi guys...
I think I just bought the exact right card.
I wasn't into spending money for gamepc's for quit some years but I got this core2duo 1.8ghz 4300 from my brother who emigrated to the USA for 3 years...

A very low end computer.
It had a nvidia 8400GS 128mb card... Also very low end... lol

After some online investigation and comparison I went to the store to see what they got.
Ofcourse there are many cards that will make my cpu bottleneck...
After some talking the 4670 was lying in front of me for like 50 Euro or something (it was yesterday but I cannot remember anymore, LAL)
I got it and I am most content with it...
It boosted my comp immenselilelylel.

They put a new cooler on it according to the dude that sold it to me (vendor?)
The new cooler looks very nice... Will take pictures of it and post it here I think.(cooler looks awesome and covers like 90%! of the card)
The cooler they put on looks nothing like stock cooling...

Very amused with this great card for a great price...
And it is a winner or else they wouldn't go with a new cooler in the retailbox...

Hope to get some nice "stock" cooling oc

Anyone knows what is the max temp for this card? I don't wanna fry it...
And I kind of like it as beeing an organic lifeform :S
A humble powerful child-magician is how I would describe him...
So I wanna be nice to the card.
What oc would you guys recommend as a basis?

First post here and sorry for my bad english..

dont remember what the temps are but i believe they are probably in the 100 C area, ive had mine runnin as hot as 80s in stress testing, i would just use auto tune that comes with the catalyst package, to see what your card can handle, and go from there, also if you want another option to overclocking your card besides overdrive, then i would grab rivatuner, which allows you to turn the fan up as well

60 - 70*C is where I like to keep mine as a burn range.

780/1000 would be a good place to start your overclock, and see what the temps are like.
