Thats seems to be about the upper limit anyway, every mobo with have a different amount and clarity of voltage running through the slot, so not every card will gets its juice the same, factor in the PSU's and difference between one gpu chip and another and you'll always get foibles.

I've put way too much thought in to this!

Well then, if anybody is looking for a second HIS HD4670 512mb IceQ for crossfire PM me. If I can avoid paying return shipping and restock to Newegg I would rather sell it. I bought the last one for $74.99 less than two weeks ago.

Aren't you happy with it hermit master? And sleezey, what sort of graph are you wanting to make?

It's ok, but I want to max Fallout 3 1600 x 900 and get 60+ fps. I'm also concerned about performance in MW2.

Sounds fair enough to me, I wish I could upgrade too, but I have no money

I think I'm going to buy a Sapphire HD 4870 Vapor-X today.

Im thinking of upgrading too. think im going for a 4770 or 5770 depending on the delivery time of the 5770

The 4870 consistently outperforms the 5770 on every benchmark I've seen. The only advantage the 5770 has is DX11. I am most concerned about the 128-bit bus rather than 256-bit on the 57xx series cards.

Come up with specific benchmarks, etc. you want to use for the graph and I'll be happy to contribute.
