I'm wondering if anyone had any pointers in terms of what tool and technique I should use for this.

Thanks in advance!
I would use hand held scroll saw if you can get your hands on one. It would generate the least amount of heat. Otherwise use a die grinder with a 1.5" cutoff wheel. Cut in small intervals as to not warp the metal. After that clean up your work with a fine tooth file. You can get some large jeweler type files that work nice. I really don't do alot of case modding, but I work in a autobody shop. Doing restores, or building custom roadsters I often have to make some custom parts, or modify the ones I have. I also have a P182SE, as you can see in my signature. I have been thinking of replacing the left side panel's stainless plate with a 2-way mirror. I have a few more parts I have to buy before I step into that though. I will start with a heatsink or a liquid cooling system. haven't decided yet. Goodluck

Thanks for the reply! I actually completed the mod a few hours ago. You can check it out here.

Here is a basic link type signature for all the other members if you guys are interested. If one of you is any good with making logos, and want to make us one I'll add it to the link. thumb.gif

I appreciate that. I am going to look around for a nice Antec logo and then see what I can come up with by modifying it. I know people make custom desktop backgrounds all the time. Many custom ROG backgrounds that look completely awesome. We need someone who is that capable to design us something.

Keep this thread alive! We need more P280/180 series owners in here. I feel like the P280 doesn't get as much attention as it deserves.

You're right. I am building my daughter an AMD machine using my old BFG 8800 GTX OC. I plan on putting it in a P280. Nice case and a very good price!

I'm going to be moving my main rig out of my Arc Midi and into my P280 I picked up last week, probably tonight.  I'll post some pics when I'm done.

I'd be going for a 280 myself if I didn't have the Antec CP-850 PSU.

I'm just so surprised that this case doesn't get much attention. It cools well, has incredible cable management, and is pretty quiet. It's only slightly larger than the Fractal Design Define R4, but that case gets all the huge recommendations. Let us dig in and show that the P280 is a great case to build in!
