Seems I gotta find out by myself.. Hehe

One more thing.. Is it the entire piece of the "Antec Design" floppy drive slot another piece?

Cheers!

Google is your friend, i'm sure you can find someone removing the rivets of a case part on YouTube biggrin.gif

I believe it is two pieces but i don't know as i have only seen pictures, but Rathborne and D-Pea might be online in a few hours and they will be able to give you more precise answers as they have both been taking their cases apart and back together. smile.gif

@Daedalux, hi, sorry for not getting back to you sooner, been a busy morning smile.gif .

I sent a quick PM earlier but thought I'd follow up here too as I only just noticed the conversation started here wink.gif .

I've still got the dividing tray in good condition so I'll try and take some photos after work and highlight what rivets needed to be removed for the PSU chamber.

Now that I think about it you will lose the HDD mounting as the dividing tray has the rail guides for both top and bottom drive cages. This wasn't an issue in my build as I hid the SSD behind the PSU and wasn't an issue for dad's P180 as he uses 5.25" swap bays but it is definitely something to note.

Oh, where could I mount my hdd then if I remove it? On the drive bay with some adapter?
By the way, just installed my new PSU, the cable management is actually OK now tongue.gif.

Gonna post some pics biggrin.gif

Cheers!

Hehe no problem Rath, when you have time mate! Cheers

@Daedalux, sorry for the delay, I've added some photos of the dividing plate and highlighted what the holes rivet to on my P180 thread. Hopefully seeing the plate in isolation will give you an idea of what rivets need to be drilled smile.gif .

One thing that will happen if you remove the plate is your PSU and cables will be illuminated by the case lighting. I need to make a PSU cover to hide mine as Bear304 did for his smile.gif .

The Cooler Master MasterClass 5 and Phantek Evolv cases seem to re-introduce the idea of the dividing plate. They also have a side window similar to how you have your case now however one trick they use is to add further tinting to the window for the lower section and then limit the amount of light allowed into the bottom chamber. That way they achieve a large window but don't draw attention to the power supply and cables that are often the least visually appealing part of the build (especially in mine) biggrin.gif .

@rathbornethanks a lot mate, will be checking the pictures closely. Yeah, the tint option is a good one, wonder how I will mount the hdds if I remove the divider :/ how did you solved that? Thanks a lot
post #848 of 887
@Daedalux, I cheated and just stashed the SSD behind the PSU amidst all the cables running to the CPU biggrin.gif . Only myself (and now the internet) are privy to that fact so as no one can see it its not a big problem biggrin.gif .

Other than that you could try double-sided tape for SSDs. You may be able to keep the lower HDD cage intact and functional (as long as you're not moving the case often) because the thumbscrew holding the cage in is located at the front of the case. Maybe a bit dodgy but something to consider. Or you could use the 5.25" bays to mount HDDs.

I like SSDs and their ability to be put wherever they can fit biggrin.gif.
