First build need help and or opinions

Thread Starter
Ok so this is the first time I have ever built my own computer, so I am not exactly sure about all these parts and their compatibility with each other.

my budget is about $1,400 but I'd like to keep it at about $1,375 or so at the most, but anyways here is my build so far.

Case:
XCLIO WTBK ADVANCED ( I have heard this case has some problems with the fans and wires/LED's but i want it for the airflow)

Hard Drive:
Western Digital Caviar Black WD5001AALS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s

External HD:
Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini STM902503OTA3E1-RK 250GB (just for storage)

Power Supply:
SILVERSTONE ST75F 750W

CPU:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz

Motherboard:
EVGA 132-CK-NF78-TR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX

RAM:
Kingston HyperX 4GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066

CPU Fan/Heatsink:
XIGMATEK Dark Knight-S1283V

GPU:
EVGA 512-P3-N884-AR GeForce 9800 GTX+ Superclocked Edition

Disc Drive:
SAMSUNG Black 22X 2MB Cache SATA DVD Burner

OS:
haven't decided if I should go with Vista or 64 bit XP

My main goal is to be able to play GTA 4 decently enough to enjoy it, I also plan to OC the CPU at a later date. Since this is my first build I just wanted to make sure everything would work together.

Thanks in advance for any help or opinions

I would go with Vista 64 bit for an OS. I would go for a Corsair power supply

Looks OK to me. I would swap the mobo for a decent P45 board (Giga UD3P) unless you really plan to go SLI in the future. (even then, with the rumored ATI price drops, the 48xx's look good. Also, I am not a big fan of Xckio, but to each their own and it is only a case, not a PSU or something)

I would get Vista 64 (Home Premium or Ultimate) Don't mess with XP x64. yes, you can get almost eveything to work, but there is no benefit to an older OS if you don't already have it)

You can get a way cheaper PSU that will run your rig just fine. Which would possibly save you around 40$ in just that area. Maybe consider going i7/DDR3?(not worth it imo but if you have the money wth right?) With the 40$ that you're saving on the psu, get a 260 core 216 or a 4870 1gb.(I personally would prefer a 260 but that's me :/) Idk the pricing on that hard drive either, but I DO know that Seagate has a Barracuda at 69$ for 640gb. worth the price imo. (Same amount of cache)

As far as the case goes: It's really whichever you think looks the best. If you like the xclio looks then go with that. But there are better cases with airflow. Such as the Antec 900/300. Coolermaster 690 has spectacular airflow. Just doesn't have a side window.(Although you can purchase one for about 20$) That's my
