Silent 120mm case Fans

Thread Starter
Ive never looked in to good quality fans before and was hoping some one could recommend a some good quality silent case fans.
The clear LED type is preferable but will look at anything.

Cheers for your help in advance

For price/performance, you can't beat Yate Loon. I have 4 high speed blue LED ones in my case and when I dial them back on my fan controller they're pretty much silent. My Zalman's CPU fan is louder than they are.

You won't be finding any quiet LED fans that move a decent amount of air, the clear plastic causes them to be a lot louder.

I recommend these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...s-flex&x=0&y=0

You can get fans like Noctua too, but they're pretty pricey.

They just look like an average fan that uses a mix of ball and sleeve and doesn't have accurate specs.

I have both of these listed below:

Xigmatek Orange
Decent flow, not loud, decent price.

Noctua
Decent flow, extremely quiet, however, expensive as hell, and odd colored.

My case is right under my desk and Antec makes some good ones. On the lowest setting, to me, they are silent. And i have pretty sensitive ears. Still expense though, but not as bad as the noctuas. I think jab-tech has them for 12$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835209013

Yate Loons are also pretty quiet. Damn cheap too. 4 for 24$, w/ leds. I would still put them on a controller though to make them silent.

Yet again, extremely inaccurate specs. The dba isn't possible with that much CFM and at 1500 RPM. (CFM also looks a little exaggerated)
