Why is my PPD so...UPDATE!

UPDATE
ihaque has spoken about the subject and fixed it with an updated core

The drivers should no longer give a boost in PPD.

I'll be leaving the rest of the post there even though it is now obsolete for future reference.
[/update]

Hey guys,

I gotta say, im a bit confused as to what is going on with my 8800GS and the new 1680point WUs.
Code:
 Project : 5903
 Core : Unknown
 Frames : 100
 Credit : 1680

 -- GPU 2 --

 Min. Time / Frame : 2mn 55s - 8294.40 ppd
 Avg. Time / Frame : 2mn 58s - 8154.61 ppd
 Cur. Time / Frame : 4mn 41s - 5165.55 ppd
 R3F. Time / Frame : 3mn 50s - 6310.96 ppd
 Eff. Time / Frame : 3mn 18s - 7330.91 ppd
The 5902 (also 1680point WU) gives me an average of 8200 ppd exactly.

Picture Proof:

Overclock: 700/1800/900
Temperature: 56 degrees.

I re-uped the overclock back to 731/1864/925 . Lets see what that does.

EOC Stats: http://folding.extremeoverclocking.c...hp?s=&u=434144

I run the card about half the time. Got 5000 points in the last 24 hours and its only been running
since 6:30AM.

EDIT: Reason found

AMAZING DRIVERS = PPD madness:

GeForce ForceWare 185.20 Vista 64-bit
GeForce ForceWare 185.20 Vista 32-bit
GeForce ForceWare 185.20 XP 32-bit
GeForce ForceWare 185.20 XP 64-bit

Proofs:
9800GTX Jumps from 5600ppd to 11000ppd
http://www.overclock.net/5827924-post118.html

9600GSO on stock gets 6500ppd
http://www.overclock.net/5827916-post117.html

285GTX pulls a massive 17000ppd
http://www.overclock.net/5827751-post102.html

Another 285GTX gets 17000ppd
http://www.overclock.net/5827748-post101.html

Whole thread about a 8800GTS 512 going from 4500ppd to 7700ppd
http://www.overclock.net/overclock-n...one-crazy.html

It seems like the biggest increases are from using Vista 64-bit. Others have reported jumps with everything though.
