Foxconn Bloodrage Overclocking/Help Thread - Page 20

The only reason I haven't gotten a Classified is because of the price. Now that I know they will never release the VFD for the Blood Rage I may start looking for another board. I really liked the LCD poster on the Asus boards I have had in the past so the BR having the VFD was the final component for me. I am also disappointed with the fact I cannot adjust the PCIe frequency which might solve my 220BCLK overclock stability issue I am running into. Still love the board, just thinking the Classfied might be the way to go.

my bloodrage is blocked @ 220... no matter what I do. Oh well, got the classified coming! That should open the c0 and the d0 up. Both are max 220blck on the bloodrage. My ageis panel also locks up at anything past 165 blck once I adjust it in windows. HOMO! I'll just use the Bloodrage for my i7 965 since 220bclk+ is a moot point with it.

Instead of trying to sell my board i'm just going to return it and take the restocking hit. It is about the same hit I will take trying to sell it in the FS Forum or Ebay. It really is a great piece of hardware but since I can afford the Classified, I don't see why not.

Are you guys getting the nf200 version or not? Future proof does not seem to be an issue since the SLI bridge seems to cause more of a bottleneck than the PCI-e lanes. In reading the Hard review, the latency caused by the SB was way more of a hinderance.

I prefer the non-nf200, but since it's a step-up they are requiring me to go with the nf200 version. =o(

keep in mind if you bench 220+ bclk is pretty much all you need. That's over 4.6ghz, and your cooling will run out way before your bclk ceiling will occur when trying to make it stable.

Well my rear tire blew out on the way home, towing + having to purchase a new tire is going to kick my behind when it comes to a Mobo So it looks like I'll have to stay with this even though it's defective for like 2 weeks until I get paid again.

That's the info I was waiting for.

I can Bloodrage cold boot (sometimes) and Aegis panel (almost always) to 221X21. 222 bclock causes immediate failure with both methods.

Fortunately, my Aegis panel works fine if I don't have to adjust it too much. For benching I've been booting into Windows with 215X21 and using the panel to adjust from there.

SuperPi 1M can complete at 4.629Ghz (on water), but times are actually slower if I'm clocked any higher than 4.58 Ghz.

8 threaded wPrime32 runs well up to 4.52 Ghz, but frequently BSOD's when clocked higher.

DICE will probably improve stability some, but isn't really worth the trouble for 100MHz difference.....

This C0 920 plays well at high clocks and probably deserves to spread its wings on a board without an absolute bclock wall. That's not the case for the overwhelming majority of 920's - CPU will be the problem before the 220 wall is.

Gonna mull it over for a while. Visually, it would be a downer to get a Classified since it's got the same color scheme as the Bloodrage - but looks worse. Almost makes we want to go Lemon/Lime instead......

I used dice on the i7 920 D0 and couldn't get past 220bclk using aegis panel or setfsb. I got fed up, and broke it down to put it back on air. Air is the same bclk... =o\\.

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=555800

I get stuck there regardless of cooling, ram, or card configuration. Tried both triple, double, and single channel ram configurations. Probably needs a bios optimization for the d0's to allow for higher bclk.
