Ritchewell looking at your settings I thought the uncore multiplier had to be at least 2x that of the memory multiplier?

Yep, I'm getting stuck @ around 220.6 bclk+ Anything thereafter doesn't post or if upped in windows it hardlocks! GRRRRrrr if you want to wait guys I should have my classified here Monday or Tuesday if you want to wait on the results before biting.

on a side note. 4.4ghz on the NB with air and CAS8 with 2.2ghz on the ram! =o)~ Sorry for the low cpu clock speed as I really wasn't focusing on that. So I wanted to factor that out of the equation.

Just an FYI, benchzowner on xtreme was able to get 236BCLK on his BR, but it required a lot of VTT, 1.75v.

I used 1.7v on the vtt in attempt to get more than 220.. still hard locked regardless of the cpu, and ram divider. Not all boards are created equal, and this many hitting 220 simply exacerbates it not being cpu related. I doubt we all have 920's and 965's both c0/d0 that are physically bclk blocked @ 220.

I'll have more proof of this when the classified gets here.

Bah. No luck. 220.5 is all tonight will do.

Chickened out on 1.7v on anything tonight, but I did try 1.6 VTT and IOH up to 1.5. Didn't take RAM more than 1.75 cause I have it underclocked so much anyway (I need more than 1600 RAM.....be a while for the Hyperx's to come). Maybe I'll try taking RAM up to 2v before bed as a last resort.

I need to have a fairly high clock to accommodate the required IOH voltage bump, and then I don't know what to bench to really stress the NB.

Here's my NB temps @ 1.42v towards the end of a 3 minute wPrime1024 run. NB runs at 33 C.

Attachment 107204

I'll see if the Everest Memory and Cache benchmark will bump the temps.

Edit: Hey! That wPrime1024 run knocked 2.5 seconds off my time and bumped me ahead of Igg to take the Team 1st place.

I tested this. You can basically render the qpi frequency ceilingless by disabling the fast qpi setting. It'll run the qpi frequency VERY VERY VERY low, yet I still crashed @ more than 220 bclk.
