Foxconn Bloodrage Overclocking/Help Thread - Page 25

just as I prediced! it's the board causing the 220 bclk block! hit 230 on the classified =o)~ and haven't even messed with it in depth yet. That's with a manageable 1.45v on the cpu/qpi vtt. This board is going to rock hardcore with some cold!

*edit* Just realized I'm on an old bios too lol! A shipping bios! we know how wonderful those are with new chips!

So today I ordered Bloodrage, so I'm hoping this card will be alot better than the Gigabyte GA-EX58 EXTREME( the northbridge waterblock was pretty much a joke too, since you need hell of a small tubing and it's of aliminum)

I'd like to hear some good and bad things about the Foxconn Bloodrage..things you guys are happy with and not satisfied with.
The good is that it's an overall great board with a lot of features like SAS. The only bad thing is that it seems to have the same 220BCLK limit that most x58 boards have. This still allows you to achieve 4.6Ghz, but that would be your limit. It does overclock ram well and it's an easy board to work with. From a GPU standpoint, it will only support triple SLI with water cooling where the blocks keep the card to a single slot configuration. Otherwise you would be limited to SLI. You of course can get around with this with a pair of GTX295's. As far as water cooling goes, the water block is 1/2" and is solid copper. I would say it's as good as an EK or BP block. For the money and if triple SLI is not something you want to do it's a great board.

On a side note, I have my Classified coming, so I will be able to compare the two to see if it is worth almost $200 more for the Classified.

The board owns...period.

I got mine to 4.6Ghz last night but the Xeon's don't seem to play well with the increased PCI-e frequency. My D0 will be here tomorrow!

Seems like we need a Classified thread.

The Bloodrage thread is getting morphed. My Bloodrage is staying in my main living room rig and I hope we get some good BIOS updates to play with in the future.

That being said, I've placed orders with Duniek, CD and FstFreddy in the past week. It will be a while until I have all the goodies in place, but as of now the Classified is at the top of the list when it's time to actually order mobo and chip.

Thanks alot! I'm happy with my 260gtx card, it's good enough graphics for the two games I play. CoD5 and wow sometimes, but if I'm going at higher range, I doubt I'll ever get 3 295's or something like that, way to expensive.

4ghz is pretty much my first goal, so if the board could allow me a 4.6ghz it's more tha enough good for me
Yeah, I can't wait intill I get mine and start overclocking agian.

Which BIOS is the best one at the moment?
