As for the sound card, it is ok, but there is better. One thing though, I can't get it to work with Windows 7. Has anyone figured this problem out yet?
Whats the problem with the sound card? Im running windows 7 right now and the sound card is working.

wasnt working, said devide not found, tried uninstalling all sound drivers and reinstalling the realtek first, then SB X-fi with no luck. im back to vista, now all my programs work and Crysis X64 runs, it didnt run in Win 7, just 32 bit Crysis

re ran the Crysis bench with the SAME settings i ran with my old Q6600/750i FTW setup and here it is

Quote:
Run #1- DX9 1920x1080 AA=2x, 32 bit test, Quality: VeryHigh ~~ Overall Average FPS: 52.03
with the Q6600 at 3.4ghz on that same exact test I got 41 Fps. 11 FPS gain with the i7 maybe the Q66 was bottlenecking them?

overclocked my cards to 702/1513/1161(2322) and got this

Hello everyone. I have been having trouble getting my system stable at 4.0GHz. I went ahead and flashed the G25 bios and now I can't even boot into Windows when I set my BCLK at 200. I have tried various settings found on these forums and scattered on the internet but my system always gets stuck or reboots right after it verifies the DMI. Any ideas? Thanks.

are you running turbo mode Always on and EIST enabled? what multiplier? I had a hell of a time using 20X multi with turbo mode, I set it to 19 and Turbo mode On and EIST enabled to get the 21x Multi in CPUz, its fine now. 4ghz with 1.325V

i also decided to set all my ram to auto for now and mess with it later.

excel, have you tried running a lower bclk with a higher multi?
There are also many other reasons why you aren't getting 200bclk stable. Make sure your vtt is stable with your bclk for starters.

As for ram timings, always manually set them (loose at first while overclocking), or you can easily run into some stability issues.

Not realistically...but if I set my voltage to like +150 but CPU-Z only says its at like 1.25 would there be any troubles?

I have turbo mode disabled and EIST enabled. My multiplier is set at 20x.

Do you mean using EIST and lowering the BCLK to achieve 4.0GHz? I can't raise the multiplier above 20x. I have my ram set manually according to spec. My ram is rated to run at 7-7-7-20 at 1.65v, but would crash prime95 at those settings so I bumped the voltage up to 1.66 and changed the timing to 7-7-7-16. My divider was set to run the memory at 1600mhz and with these changes I was able to run prime95 and memtest for hours without any issues.

well, if the D0 is a lot like the C0-C1, then i got best results using 19X multi with Turbo on and ESIT On, it forces a 21X multi when stress testing. my chip is at 3.6Ghz with 19X multi, but in stress testing it goes up to 4016mhz. I had the 20X multi with Turbo on and EIST but it wouldnt pass intel burn test.

I tried your settings, but I thought turbo mode only kicked it up 1 so if I lowered my multiplier to 19x it would go up to 20x? I have my mine clocked at 3.6GHz now with EIST on and turbo on ans when I stress test it jumps up to 20x. (3.8GHz) Am I missing something? Thanks.

No, I mean doing something like running BCLK at 190 or 191 with 21x multi. Also, what is your VTT and Vcore set at?
