Hey all.

Any of you OC'ing with the Mushkin redline Mem? Also I looked at the bios readouts that everyone has posted here and have been up and down to which I was going to "cough" borrow there settings lol. Of course just as an initial trial. I did notice however that when changing the cpu core voltage to +110mv my target is reading as 1.38 instead of what someone else had at 1.28500. When I did see that difference I stopped. Then I changed it to what several others had reported and everytime my target is higher. Im a noob so its a little confusing to me. any thoughts

I am about to try out these bios settings and see what happens but I do have 1 question about them:

X58 IOH VCCA 1.1V : 1.307v

Everywhere I look (forums) I have not seen anyone set the voltage this high. Some even had this setting as default. I am a little confused as to what to do with it. First off I dont really know what it is for lol. I know that the X58 IOH Core Voltage : 1.30v is about normal for most but the other one I am not so sure of. Any light that can be shed on this would be great

mahalo

I would just leave that default. Only voltages you really need to change are Vcore, VTT, and IOH Core.
Hey again.

So I followed the settings I posted above except the mentioned X58 IOH VCCA 1.1V... I left this the default setting. but anyway... I booted into windows fine and brought up real temp and cpuz. cpuz reported 4.2ghz and my temps were at 60-61 degrees c. I started up prime 95 and ran a blend test but about 30 secs into it my machine rebooted. Now cpuz shows me sitting at 2.4 ghz core speed a 12x multiplier and 200.1mhz bus speed. Any clue wth I should do lol.

Should I set the X58 IOH VCCA 1.1V to the 1.307v?

Also in the oc for noobs thread it said to make sure to change a setting not to reboot on error when running prime 95 but I do not see this setting.

You used utnorris' settings? Go for 3.8 first then up your way to 4.0+
post #450 of 711
Yeah i used his settings lol. Was the only full ones that I found besides 1 other and it was even a little higher. What would you recommend I change if I go for the 3.8 mark?

Also I am not too certain as to why it rebooted becuase my temps seemed ok @ 61c (didnt seem too high compared to others)
