I changed the settings and turned on EIST and put turbo on always on. I also turned off HT, Execute Disable Bit , and Virtualization.

Prime 95 is running right now.

cpuz shows 3.997ghz with a 21x multiplier.

My max temps are reported aprox @ 75c under load.

I also increased the cpu fan and the rest of the fans (3 system fans and the NB fan) to max rpm and its still so quiet. I am going to order some more fans to throw into this thing soon.

Since I am not quite at 4ghz I was thinking of either increasing the fsb to 191 or pushing a little more to my vcore. What yall think?

yes 191 will get you right above 4ghz, I just say 190 cause im lazy. Turn those settings back on and see what you are running at. Shouldn't really hurt anything if you run really hot for barely any time since cpus are rated to last for a while even at high temps.

Better fans are a good idea, and so is an air conditioner

If it's not that humid (I doubt it but giving it a shot), then you could get a swamp cooler. Much cheaper and barely uses any electricity.

Well I increased my fsb to 191 and turned on

Execute Disable Bit
Virtualization
Hyper Threading

System came up just fine and ran cpuz, real temp, and brought up prime95.

my temp during idle went up 1 degree and under load hit max of 77c.

About 5 minutes into the test I got a bsod and the error listed was as follows:

Attempt was made to execute to non-executable memory.

Think I should increase my vcore?

Yea, pretty sure you'll need to up vcore a tad.

Your idle temps depend on your ambient temps, but yes 50C idle on water must mean his ambient is ridiculously high.

Hello again everyone.

Well after several different configurations (most resulting in a bsod) I up'd my cpu core voltage to 30mv, and raised my IOH core voltage to 1.30. I did not like what I was seeing with the temps so I turned HT off but left the other settings on, ie virtulization and execute disable bit. I then took off the case window and put on the stock side panel that comes with the cosmos s. This panel has a 200mm (I think thats correct size). With the panel on (the plastic fan casing touches the zalman cpu cooler fins) my low idle temp dropped to 49c and so far while running prime95 my highest temp reached 74c (only 30 min of testing so far.)

I will prob be ordering the Prolimatech Megahalem cooler along with diamond thermal paste, and a few more case fans. Hopefully this will help with the temps as there is not much I can do about Hawaii weather lol. (currently near 88f in computer room with 71% humidity).

cpu-z is reporting I am at 4ghz so hopefully with any luck my prime test will go well. If not I guess I will drop back down to my 3.997ghz setting.

I do have 1 question for you all though. real temp reports higher temps the the bios hardware monitor is that normal?
BTW thanks everyone for the help
