The Redlines are brand new. I'm going to have to guinea pig on this one. Redlines have the reputation for being amazing. 6-7-6-18 is ownage! Nothing comes close right now...

Good choice. It's nice to support our local guys in Denver.

And they match the board.

Even so, Crucial Ballistix 1600's came in second for almost as much money as the Kingstons, and the Mushkin 1600's came in 3rd, if I recall correctly.

I haven't researched RAM since, but there are more choices for 2000 RAM now. I'm curious if the G-Skill Perfect Storms can match the Kingstons? I'm not in the market for an upgrade right now myself, but I'm hoping that Patriot or Geil step up to the plate when I do. I like to hop brands for the sake of variety - makes upgrades more fun. I've recently used Kingston, G-skill and Mushkin......and since I have a Corsair PSU.........
Yeah i think that is the article, it was a month ago and I looked at newegg of the price. My mind change really quick on purchasing those ram.

UGH, I just read some of the reviews...that Kingston ram is really good. It is also very limited availability! I'm going to sleep on it and probably pull the trigger on the board and memory in the morning.

Don't get the redlines. You'll want the extra ram mhz, trust me. Plus the kingstons can do CL6 with ease @ 1600mhz. Heck, I've ran 7-7-7-18 1T @ 2ghz.

I was just playing with the bios to overclock this board in my previous statement i got to 3.8 but was unstable, the reason was i had hyperthreading on. It seems if you are going to have hyperthreading on you really have to increase the voltage of the cpu and probably hard to get it stable unless watercooled. To overclock over 4.0 and be stable and safe you have to have hyperthreading off. When i compare the hyperthreading on or off it seems much quicker with it off, not sure why but il take it. Right now im at blck 190, fluctuates 4.0 and below and my temperature are in the high 50's C but seems to be stable. Still doing test.

I got it to post but when i ran Prime95 i got BSOD, i dnt want to increase the voltage anymore maybe i have to manipulate some bios settings. As of now i just want to see how high i can get it stable without HT.
