I have OCZ 6GB at 1600Mhz 7-7-7-24 but the system at the very first post detect the ram and use it at 1067Mhz. In the bios I saw at Quantum BIOS the settings that might do the trick
So I tried :
System Turbo "Enabled"
Memory Bus Multiplier "x12"
all others default
that gives me the 1600Mhz on memory.
But after save and restart.. the memory is still at 1067Mhz.
Is there something that I'm missing???
The bios version is P06.
You need to go into the memory settings and enable Virtual XMP. That'll get your memory at the correct speed.

You should really read this for better understanding what you are doing.
Thanks for the link! Thats exactly what I was looking for!

Thanks! I'll try this asap!
I really had to read about this new bios staff to me! A batch of new options and terms that I need to understand.

Ok so as Im new to overclocking, even though Ive read enough on the net to somewhat almost know what Im doing, I finally got a stable (6 hours 50 mins of prime so I assume its somewhat stable) clock at 4.2 GHz with 21x200 cuz o turbo. But I duno if its bad for the speed, if it could go further etc. So heres the settings and input on suggestions would be cool.

Bios Version: p09
CPU: ¡7 920 D0 Batch#3913B270

CPU Features:

PPM: Enabled
EIST: Enabled
CxE: Disabled
HT: Enabled
Current Feedback Override: Enabled

Memory Settings: I have 6-7-6-18 1600 Mushkin
XMP: Disabled
DRAM Timing Control: Manual

for my RAM I used the spec timings of 6-7-6-18 1T and tRFC 74

CPU Voltages:

CPU Core VTT: +90mV
CPU Target Core: 1.33V
CPU VTT Uncore: +280mV
1.8 PLL: 1.8V
CPU Clock Amplitude: 0.800V
DRAM V: 1.64V
x58 IOH Core: 1.30V
x58 IOH VCCA 1.1: 1.108V
x58 IOH VCCA 1.5: 1.518V
ICH10 SB: 1.506V

OC Gear:

Spread Spectrum: Disabled

Main:
CPU Turbo: Always On
System Turbo: Enabled
VDroop: Disabled

CPU Bclk: 200
QPI Fast Mode: Enabled
QPI Multiplier: Auto
QPI Target Speed: 3605 MHz 7.2 GT/s
CPU Core Multiplier: x20
CPU Core Target: 4006 MHz
CPU Uncore Multiplier: x16
CPU Uncore Target: 3208MHz
Memory Bus Multiplier: x8
Memory Bus Target: 1604 MHz
PCIE Clock: 102 MHz

Idle Temps: 38C-45C
Under 100% Load 77C-85C

Im on Water Cooling....temps don't really make sense to me as the Idle seems high for what the load is....and using realtemp theres a few degree difference across the 4 cores....I have no idea...but whatever.

So does anyone think I can lower some voltages and still be stable, or clock up higher.... I hate changing minor things and then having to run prime forever to see if its good

Each CPU clocks differently but looks like your voltages are little bit high. Here's mine for the same overclock just for references:

First, I will agree that I think your voltage for vcore is a little high, should be around 1.28v vcore. Second, as far as your water cooling goes, it really depends on your setup, what you ambient temps are and how your loop is layed out. Those temps could be good or bad depending on a lot of things. List what you have in water cooling, how you have it setup and what your ambient temps are and we can probably give you better advice. You may just need to try a remount of the block or you may be trying to cool to much with too little rad.

Ok I did just that and sure enough....on 1.28 Vcore now and temps dropped a few Degrees for Idle&Max. Ty lol simple suggestions are often the best.

As Far as the WC Im not sure you meant post here or the WC forums but I have a:

Koolance RP-980 1/2 ID Tubing going to the CPU Block and NB is all, my Rad is the weak point. Its the standard Kandalf front door Rad that came with my case back in 06'. I replaced the fans with new 90 CFM ones that are all on max. The old rad on top had connectors for 3/8ID or somthing smaller so I ran that to a adapter for the 1/2 ID. I know this prolly cuts down the flow rate mabe but I figured it couldn't be all that much

Glad I could help
You should try lower Vcore as well. I was almost stable with +30mV. As I said every chip is different. Some can be stable at 4gz with stock Vcore and some need 1.4V.

With your WC you are doing good. Drop the vcore to 1.28v and you should be good.

1/2", although you can squeeze 3/8" or 7/16" tubing over it by heating the tubing up.
