The MS Society is a nice one. Of course I might be a little biased since getting diagnosed with MS 3 years ago.

Seconded!

Juvenile Diabetes research is somewhat promising recently, I was reading about some of the new trials recently. (I have Juvenile Diabetes)

The other one I think is a great option is MS Society

Maybe donate to Stem Cell research (can be adult stem cells so there is no conflict with religion) since there are so many diseases that it can help. Caner, MS, Parkinson's etc... just to name a few.

For example, there is something in stem cells that will switch cell production off, so cancer cells can be shut down (cancer cells are just abnormal cells that grow and overtake "good" cells). Or for MS, they can use stem cells to stop what is blocking the signals from the nervous system across the synapse, or to regenerate damaged brain cells for Alzheimer's, or even for transplant patients who can have their transplanted organ treated with their own body's stem cells to reduce rejection of the new organ.... I can go on... there really are so many possibilities with stem cells.

You can sponsor me in the 2009 WalkMS. My wife (who has MS) and I, and a couple other people are doing the Washington DC walk in April.

Here's the URL to donate to our team:

I think this is a good idea, the more I hear about stem cell research the more promising it sounds. I think in the future alot of good will come of stem cell research.
