Jinra's soon-to-be Ultimate Gaming Computer

Thread Starter
Okay, so i'm going to build a new system and get rid of my XP 2500+ barton x800 pro and 1 gig dual channel mem. The specs are going to be as seen in my profile (i dont actually have it yet). I'm actually going to college next year so i'm getting a computer instead of a car (I'd rather bike than drive), and its not like i'll be going cross country or anything. I'm trying to get top of the line stuff right now, well that is without blowing too much money.

Are these parts good enough for that title?

Just wondering why? I dont really know why its faster. Seems that the SATA 2 and 16mb cache advantage would overpower the raptor.

Sata 2 has a 3 gb/s transfer rate that will never happen You'd be lucky to average 1 gb/s. Seek times and access times are a lot more important imo and the Raptors are superior in those areas.
