why spend that much on 975 D0. get a 920, these days you get a good batch. overclock pretty amazing. D0 is really nothing tbh.

go with the evga classified for you motherboard, Intel i7 920 CPU, for Graphics, the ATI X2 is an amazing GPU or Nvidia 295 right behind it. Ram I really love OCZ so 3 x 2GB should do you just fine. Slap in 2 X Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB. To power that beast grab this PC Power & Cooling T12W 1200W. I am looking at this same PSU. If you are going to overclock and use AIR cooling, got get a TRUE. As for monitors, keyboard, mouse etc...I haven't a clue.

Grab a new i7 and a high end X58 board.

1000 watt Corsair PSU.

Couple of Raptor HDDs in Raid 0 witha terabyte storage drive would be nice

6 gigs or more of high end ram would also be nice.

2 DTX 295 is a waste IMO. 2 GTX 295 would give you 4 graphics cards which will scale like crap. IMO i would get 2 GTX 285(Nvidia) or 2 HD 4890 1GB(ATi) when they come out next month.

Your rig should costs less than 5K even with 2 nice monitors, nice sound card/system, and gaming mouse/keyboard.

Good luck

Am i the only one thinking he should buy 3 and a half to 4 thousand dollars worth of parts and then upgrade again when new tech comes out? I don't just mean a more powerful CPU or graphics card, i mean things like directx11, sata 4 and usb 3.

Or maybe im just jealous

Personally spending that much on a system is an example of law of diminishing returns meets law of diminishing wallet. Chop about $3 grand off your budget and I'm sure you'd be very happy with the system the rest would buy you. No reason to spend money just for the sake of spending it.
Dayummmm those prices are HIGH! $769 for the evga classified . Just because of that inflation ya'll are gonna have to redo your rigs, just to fit in that budget.

See my sig rig for what I thought the best specs were. Comes in around that amount and gives you a killer gaming & application machine. You may want to go only 6G Ram though and add another GTX285
