I'm not really understanding the memory strap thing. What to the numbers mean exactly? 2.40B or 2.50A...? I've used that setting before to slow down my memory in order to OC the CPU but I'm not 100% sure what it all means.
Heres a review that has a detailed section on memory settings.
Basically A, B, C, D are straps.
The 2.0/2.4/2.5/2.66 etc are multiplyers...ie you're runnign q9550 at 450fsb, with 2.5A strap your memory would be running at 900Mhz DDR2.

I'm not sure I get it so please bear with me and thank you for your help.

What's the point of using a certain strap? 200MHz, 266MHz, 333MHz, or 400MHz?

Well supposedly some straps allow for more stability or for decreased latency but thats not something that I noticed. I just OC by multiplier.
