Fan control software.

Thread Starter
I was just wondering what the various guru's thoughts are on fan control software. I just got a new case with 4 case of fans, so I need a decent piece of fan control software until I have the spare funds to afford a decent hardware controller. Does anyone know of any?

SpeedFan
FanSpeed

You need to plug your fan into your motherboard headers for the software to control the fans.

A decent hardware controller will run you $20 in the U.S., and I wouldn't imagine it'd be much worse across the pond...

At any rate, if you can get it to work, programs like SpeedFan are great for controlling fan speeds, but you'll have to connect the fans to your motherboard.

that and if you have a hardware contoller the fans stay at that speed but with speedfan you have to wait until your computer starts and open speedfan because untill then the fans will run at 100%
