2x FREEZONES need advice / help Updates*

Hello as you already know i am going to put 2 coolit freezones together in series. i spent 80 bucks on for 2 units so i didn't get ripped off. i am going to use a separate 550w antec trio to power these two plus 5 - 8 fans. so far i drained one and trying to figure out how am i going to fill it. i am very new to water so help me out. i think the hose is 3/8 od pretty small and having trouble finding it so i can extend it out of my case where they will both be sitting. i also probably need insulation at least i think so let me know what you guys think

Very nice, especially for the price. Just done a few rough numbers and I think for a CPU like yours (relatively low power) one of thes euntits would actually do a decent job (~10-15c above ambient) and two will work very well (maybe 10c lower than one unit).

I assume you are planning to use one of the original CPU water blocks and one of the pumps?

id put them together in series

if I use 2 pumps it would be useless? is it cause it lessens the time to cool cause of the flow? ya I am going to run it in series and I'm having trouble looking for that hose the id might b a 1/4 or a little bigger the od is 3/8 for sure

Higher flow rate will always give better heat transfer. However it is difficult running two pumps in the same loop (and it isn't an area I know anything about).
presuming you exclude the heat dump of the pumps then MORE flow rate is ALWAYS better .. IF you sit down and think about what happens if you reduce the flow rate then you'd realize the theory of reducing can't possible lead to better cooling.

here is a simulation of a water block
the first one is at 1m/s
and the second is at 2m/s

how if you dont want to believe simulations here a link to real world testing which backs up the theoretical

HERE

You of coarse dont have to run 2 pumps if you dont want too :-)

you can get 1/4 neoprene tubing from auto shops ...

This could be interesting. However I also have no idea where to start.
