Considerations on my build

Thread Starter
hey guys, i have noticed how the prices are falling and sold all my gear, and especially since a relative will be getting to the states, im going to try and make a build for 2.5 grand (with tax/shipping included) i guess thats about 2.2 without.
This is my current build on newegg:

Case:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119194

Soundcard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102021

Mobo + Vid:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.179005 (considering to change to GTX295 or sli 275

Cpu+Ram:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.179007 (considering upgrading ram)

PSU:
Hopefully a CM 1.1kw one, which is currently out of stock, otherwise a Corsair 1kw one

Plus some peripherials and coolers summing up to about 300$

I want to go air for cooling since i do not have the know how for watercooling and it seems to be quite expensive plus with the danger of frying the system if set up crapily

But yeah , thats what ive picked out, i would like to know your thoughts and improvements if any

Thanks in advance mates

Good build, but I don't think the Sniper is worth that kind of money. When you get close to $200 for a mid-ATX, there are a lot of better choices out there.

Get the PSU and the Case from the refurbished section on the Coolermaster website.

Hmm, if not for the SSniper, what case would you suggest? I checked the HAF, but this seemed better a bit because it has the built in fan controll and has filters on the coolers which is quite damn good
Oh yeah, is the Corsair dominator series of rams worth the +-50 bucks more over the OCZ Gold/Plat?

And about the psu, dont worry , i can wait a bit for newegg to restock but if it wont , i will get it from there , thanks a lot!

Heads up that board is an e-atx board.
You might want to look for a case that can handle an e-atx motherboard.
I got the classified and it blocks just about every cable managment hole in my 1200.
The coolermaster haf looks like a great case I ordered one last night.

i would pick the corsair hx1000 over a coolermaster 1100w. I don't think the classified will fit in a CM Sniper.

Also, I believe the asus xonar essence STX is better than that creative.

Well, from reviews about the classified people stated that its not actually an e-ATX board, that instead it is an enlarged ATX one, so it could fit into the bearings of a normal ATX board and anyways , the storm is quite big for an Med tower isnt it?
About the soundcard, it just was the first card i checked for reviews, and it got quite an ok one, but if you say it sucks, i guess it sucks you cant all be wrong XD

The problem with the Corsair PSU is that it only has 2x 6+2 connectors while the coolermaster one has 3 and since the classified is a 3-sli mobo , i was thinking of planning a tid bit ahead, so i could buy a good clean powered psu now, and slowly buy the extra video cards

Oh by the way guys , what exactly is bad about the creative cards? from what i have read they are pretty ok, and they look sweet as well , i just want to know so i can make the right choice

And about the case, i have been having huge problems on deciding on which one to take, i have been looking at the HAF a lot , but then it seems like a HUGE vacuum cleaner, while the storm is smaller, and the P930 is quite hotter than the others. Another option was the Cosmos S but ARGH too many choices XD
