*OFFICIAL*GTX 295 Thread! - Page 23

Not to be the party pooper here, but seriously? Quad SLI does not need Physx. All you're going to be doing is wasting electricity, not to mention the fact that an 8800GT is overkill for physx, so using a GTX 280 is just a waste. You do know that just about no games use physx, correct?

It was just that I had one GTX 280 laying around and was not beeing used for anything. So I guess I will just let that card be since you pointed out that I dont need any cards for PhysX for now. Thanks

I'm very interested in buying one of these, I'm wondering if there are any aftermarket air coolers for this GPU? I'm posting in this section because everyone that visits here a lot probably owns one and there is a higher chance fop an accurate answer

There's no aftermarket air cooler, as it would be extremely hard to make one. The cooler the meat in the sandwich so to speak, so it's not like a single PCB card where you can just have a massive cooler on it that takes up 2-3 slots.

It's not like you really need better cooling anyway...the card can take 90-100C no problem.

I suggest selling it, as 280's are selling pretty good here. Or fold on it!

Only watercooling at the moment, Maybe when the single PCB GTX 295 comes, there might be a aftermarket air cooler.

Kilr, I just have to ask ... as the person running this thread, don't you think at least you should be showing clocks in your own signature ... that it's physically possible for your card to be running at?

Allow me to point it out to you once more on this thread ... Your card is not running at 675/1500/1210 like your sig says. It's running at 675/1512/1215. 1500 shaders and 1210 memory are not possible values on these cards.

Using a 760w fortron with both the adapters (2 6pin - 8pin, 2 molex - 6pin)

http://ncix.com/products/index.php?s...%20GROUP%20USA That's my PSU, i'm pretty sure it can handle it

Everything runs 100% fine when stock, just when I try to OC it isnt stable..

Oh well, a stock GTX 295 be OK untill I get money for a new psu.

Honestly, and kindly as I can say this. Ok, how ever this card works like this, alright then. Call it 1512/1215. No biggy really.. I mean yea.

It's been said that using the Molex adapters is not a great idea, I was told this ages ago, but then again, I guess it can be whatever.

u should read up before u bought the fastest card on the planet. If u had u'd have realised u need more RAM an a better PSU an saved urself some trouble beforehand.
