That's an even better test

I'm going to put money on the fps difference being pretty significant, esp. at 0xAA.

now i have had this fealing i have a bad video card yet it still works... here is my benchmark results for the crysis timedemo with 1920x1200 Very High settings 0AA, 2xAA, 4xAA, 8xAA

Why are the Average FPS so close?

These drivers are horrible, try to revert to 191.07 drivers. Also make sure you OC your CPU as high as possible. 2.4GHz is a very decent bottleneck on your FPS.

I just got my GTX 295 and I currently trying to find max stable overclock. On stock voltages I have been able to get 645/1390/1260. Temps of 86-89 at 70% fan are fine correct? Furmark crashed on me when I tried 650/1410/1260. Should I try just the shader clocks at stock voltage or up the voltage and try for a higher stable core?

Run 100% fan. Yes, up voltage and go for 700 core. Run linked shaders. Your mem may be a bit too high. Try 1240. TBO, you should be able to run 740/1240, evga voltage tuner at 1188, fan 100%. Every card is different, but most can get there.

Im trying to cool my GTX 295 since it is getting scorching hot temps, so I am going to buy some good 120mm fans and strap them to the card, can some1 tell me where I should put the fans, e.g. on the bottom of the GPU or on top, should I make them pushing air or pulling, cheers.

don't think that'll help much...you could try to get some fan under it and on top of it to blow air from both sides (from front to back) and see if that helps...if not...try reseating, or maybe watercool them
(wc got mine down from 90c to 62c on 100% stressed)

stock settings if you want to compare it to other computers...
if not...choose you own

I read this somewhere:
Quote:
AA only uses more PCIe bandwidth if it has to offload texture data to main system meory to make more room for the AA cache, if you are doing that then you have other problems. With how fast the new vmem is, and the bandwidth available to the GPU die, and the implementation of the stream process for handling AA and other filters, the effect on performance is minimal.

So Im assuming AA is less of a issue at larger resolutions, implementing multiple types of AA on objects in a scene to remove that 1 pixel wide jaggie does nothing

During this weekend of OC'ing, had mine running benchmarks in quad SLI @ 692, 1492, 1202

Previously had them clocked in quad SLI in the C2Q system at 712, 1535, 1242. However I can't seem to get there again at the moment
