hey guys, i've been busy planning a HUGE upgrade of my computer, and i've been wondering....is there a mobo that has SLI support AND has a bit of space between the 2 cards?i won't want them stuck to each other...
and...can i SLI a single pcb version with a dual pcb version?
thanx

One intel sli board I know offhand with extra space between pci-ex 16-lane slots is the evga FTW 750i. Not that I *like* that board especially, but ... it does have that feature.

Also, for sure you can rock a coop + sammie config. Put the dualie on top, as it draws air in through the back/top of the card. I had that setup for a brief while myself.

Yes, the 750FTW board is socket 775.

Man, only downside is that most 1366 boards are tri-sli so they don't tend to have the extra gap you're looking for. Offhand, I know there's the MSI X58 Platinum that has the extra space, and I believe that the Asus P6T Deluxe and P6TD Deluxe do. But most of them don't.

DFI X38/48 boards have a nice space for breathing room, not sure about the x58 boards.

I run my quad sli config on a evga x58 classified in the 1st and 3rd slots for maximum room. All 3 slots are 16x, and if you run 2 295's in the 1st and 3rd slot you get 16x. I have the original 759 that is not available anymore. You can get the 760 which is the same but without the NF200 chip. It's all expensive, but if you're going to go i7, you might as well do it right.

Question guys (I know this forum isn't too active anymore)

I have a quad sli system (2x295)
I have 2 lcd monitors and 1 lcd tv...

how do I set up the monitors and tv so I can play or display 2 games at the sametime (for example one game of WoW on one monitor and one game of WoW on another monitor, i don't play wow i'm just saying)

because when I try and do it now one game will lag while the other one runs smooth...
I even tried turning off sli.. and have one monitor one card and the other monitor the other card...same thing..one screen is smooth and the other screen lags..

both are on DVI....i tried one on DVI and one on HDMI...HDMI seems to not work so well..

any ideas?

thanks in advanced
