I might add, I had a bit of trouble with mounting mine. The screws I got (20mm M4) didn't fit the holes in the backplate (slightly too big), nor were they long enough. I ended up removing the backplate and routing the screws through the bottom of the motherboard and secured them with a few nuts at the top of the mount. I'm going to the hardware store today to get 6-32 3/4" long screws as people seem to be having more luck with those.

AMD's official recommendation is 6-32". Though, I do not believe they have a specific regulation on that.

Though, Asus & Gigabyte use 6-32" on all of there boards I've used.

Quick update:
I got the proper sized screws and they worked perfectly. They screwed right into the backplate. So for future reference: go with 6-32 3/4" screws.

Thanks for your help

This is just what I need for my xiggy too. I am wondering if nafljhy would send 1, maybe two of these kits to Australia? My housemate has a xiggy too, and he might like one.

I'd pm you, but I can't yet.
you'll need a few more posts in order to PM.

but i wouldn't mind shipping some to australia for you too.

Awesome! I'll ask my housemate when he gets home, and edit my post if he says he wants one too, then just let me know how much $$$/washingtons
post #230 of 446
I am thinking about purchasing one, but the problem is...I have high heat spreader fro my RAM.

This is my ram stick. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145194

And if I am not mistaken, my memory needs to be in dual channel which as slots 1 & 2 which are the closest to the CPU.
