Can someone tell me the install size of Windows 7? I need to know how much space it takes up to plan my next harddrive purchase.

I'm not sure but I know that it takes up less space than Vista. You should be fine with pretty much any SATA hard drive.
EDIT: This site says a clean install is 4.81GB.

I was planning to get a SSD to just put my OS's on. I plan on installing Vista Home Premium 64-bit, XP Home 32-bit, and then Windows 7. Vista and XP together are around 20GB, so if W7 takes up ~12GB, I can get a (fairly) cheap 32GB SSD.Blasphemy [mkII]

Excellent. According to this, I should be able to fit it all on a nice, neat $100 drive.
Thanks!Blasphemy [mkII]

I have a vlite version on win7 running on a dell mini9 with a 8 gb ssd. After removing the features I don't need and disabling hibernation it only takes up about 4.5 to 5 gbs.Maximus
