It was a lot of talking and changing of minds to get to this color. I should have a little powder left and i may play with it to see what I can do with it as an effect. I'm interested to see what it looks like under CCFL's. I'm goign to stick blue in it, and Blitz is going to put red in it when he gets back from his trip. Glad you like the color though, this thing will look really good when I'm done.

Wow that was some thick paint, almost looks like it was dipped in it!

Looking great though! Can't wait for more pics!

There should be more tomorrow as long as it's not raining. Taking pics inside just does not show the flake like the sun does. But, hopefully I get my powder today and I will be able to finish this case up and post all the pics that I will be able to take before I ship it back. Thanks everyone.

Looking good. As a guy with just a little experience stripping paint and applying finishes, I wonder why you haven't gotten into media-blasting because the time savings could be huge.

I've blasted some parts and seen how easy it works and would really hesitate to go back to chemical strippers unless necessary. They're smelly, messy, and time-consuming. Sure, I know that they thin the metal a tiny bit (microscopically), but realistically, it's not a penalty that most consumers will ever feel... and if it saves you time.....

Bacause if you use a sand blaster on a large piece of sheet like a door for a case, you will warp the crap out of it. And, if you read my howto in my sig, you will see that I have a sand blaster and I do use it. But, when the paint that was on here was 10 mils thick and one of the coats was plastidip, sand just doesn't work.

Pics of the final product will be up tomorrow. I can say for sure that this case HATES me!!! I have never had so many problems out of one job in my life. But, without going into details, the case is done and will be on it's way to Blitz tomorrow as long as the sun is out. I'm getting pics of this for my Photobucket page lol.
