Also....with the discussion about combo pump/res setups you are using, has anyone taken a look at this, and if so, opinions? Perhaps use one per loop?

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=21424

I'm using all Koolance blocks at this point (except the cpu), and it seems like they are fine quality parts. Would this kind of setup be helpful for what I am looking to accomplish? The flow rate and head pressure between this unit's pump and the mcp355 are very close, and this unit has fan and temp reading capability.

Also, thoughts on this block?

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=25216

Is there such a difference between this one and the all copper version to make it worth waiting and paying almost double the price?

I am still planning on using the 1/4" tubing norpreen tubing that Coolit uses for their units, is there any issue using 1/4" tubing and fittings with the heatkiller blocks?

Thanks again for your input.

Regards,

JBF

The more I use Koolance products, the less I like them.

Combo res/pump usually are worst than separate parts. A pump top/res combo is different, the impeller of the pump is spinning directly in the res and gives better flow that way.

The PMP-400 that it uses is a DDC3.2 (MCP355), same one I'm using.
Controlling the fans from it is not a bad idea but with a Boreas, the spin-up/spin-down is less annoying as it happens less often.

The LC version performs about the same as the regular version. The LT version is not the same though.
I had no problems with Koolance 1/4" ID 3/8" OD compression fittings.
XenoMopH mentioned that he had some problems with his fittings a few posts back, because one of his FZE is very very close to the CPU block.

BTW Koolance anti-kink coils are made of metal like the ones used by CoolIT and they really do a good job. Norprene is really prone to kinks.

I have no experience with koolance products, so I can't give an opinion
I bought a Swiftec just because it's widely recommended. In combination with a XSPC topreservoir is performs quite well.

As for the fittings, I like the 1/4" compressionfittings much better than the normal fittings where you have to use a tiewrap or clams. I had to use 2 90 degrees compressionfittings cuz there was limited space between my FZE and the HK3.0...

AAH! I ordered myself an inline tempsensor and an inline FLowmeter.
Going to compare the coolant temps with the temps read by the MTEC controller.
1: Before it goes into the first chiller.
2: Before it goes into the cpu.
3: Right after the cpu.

Then we'll know if the block temps are about the same as the coolant temp .
This at idle temps, as I'm only interested in the difference between the 2.

As for the flowmeter, I'll be testing the flow with and without the tempsensor. differnet places don't really matter, as the pressure will be the same everywhere.

It will be time consuming, but I have my holiday coming up within the next 2 days, so I have some time do these tests.

And maybe when I have the time (and if I feel like to) I will test the default coolit pump, to c what the flow on that thing was with 2 FZE's.

Hmmm....this made me thinking, I think I should get me some of those quick-disconnect fittings, makes everything alot easier. Otherwise I'm draining and filling the system 2/3 of the time

The new Koolance flow meter is not that restrictive, even less than a Heatkiller or quick-disconnects.

Since all my chiller stuff is external and only the CPU block is internal, quick-disconnects really speed up changing the waterblock.
With them, I don't need a 3-men team to move my casing anymore.

Just don't go crazy and put them everywhere.
I ended up using another one on my GPU loop since I had to remove my 2 other drains.

Tnx Mason Go get urself a Clooit FreeZone Elite and MOD the heck out of it

Anyway, I was thinking about adding 1 between FZE 1 and 2, 1 between FZE - cpu block and 1 between pump-FZE1.
This way I can take out each part separately and it saves me a lot of work draining and filling the system.
Since I have a Flowmeter, I can c what the addition of 1 nozzle will do to the flow

i was wondering if u have an extra Mtec for sale ? =] since you guys have 2x fze if not all good

I'm afraid I don't. Bought my 2nd FZE without the MTEC controller. But you can by them on ebay, or directly from coolitsystems.com.

BTW, saw your other post with the pics, What kind of temps are you getting with 2x Freezones?
Seems to be you are also keeping them outside the case?

yea outside the case temp sensor broken on the cpu but load is around low 40's which is kinda bad, but maybe not enough flow plus i added the NB
