alright, back again. so i FINALLY found some fittings for the 8mm tubing setup, but they seem a bit long and clunky, not ideal for all the places they'll be needed. then i got thinking. instead of using 8mm tubing the whole way just because of the freezone, what if i could use 1/2" tubing all they way, and only have the restriction on the cooler? i know my flow will berestricted to ~8mm anyways, but it would make my life a whole lot easier, seeing as how normal sized tubing is actually supported/supplied in my area/country. would there be ANY way of getting 1/2" tuibing attached to the freezone elite? so far, i can only think of melting the tbing to the cooler's barbs... i know, bad idea. anyone else?

edit: btw, 4/16" (1/4") tubing DOESNT work, correct?

would using a reducer fitting make it to bulky at the cooler? IMO i think a reducer would be more leak proof that melting the 2 together.

1/2" ? how are you planning to fit them on the tec blocks? Either way, you have to use a 8mm tube....

OOOH!!!! EPIPHANY!!!

---->!!!! 3/8" tubing (6/16) is very accessible to me, and its easy ot get a hold of. 6/16 is almost 5/16, so if i had some industrial clamps, i could make 3/8" tubing work (through the whole loop), riiiight?

edit: ok, so i did some precise cutting/scetching with a razor blade and i scetched out the outside of the tubing, the width of the tubing (1.6mm), the inside of the tubing, and then even did the gap between the supposed barb size (5/16"??) and the inside of the tubing (6/16"). the theoretical gap all around the barb should be ~0.75 mm, something that, i think, could be easily handled with a tight clamp or even some cutting/melting.

If your in UK or Europe visit this very good site www.aquatuning.co.uk they have everything I've seen for watercooling..Some good tubing adapters to reduce from 10mm or 3/8 or 1/2 inch etc. They have a Reducing socket 13mm to 6,4mm (1/2' to 1/4') black.
Hope I've helped.
By the way got my Elite Freezone today I'm impressed can't wait to see how it works.
But got to put the rest in my case first. So planning first and taking my time I always make mistakes otherwise.
By they way can anyone with an Elite tell me where the cable with single red and black wires with the 3 pin connector go to? It's the cable with the thinnest wire. Here's a pic to show the cable.

I just looked through my owners guide... and no mention on 2 wire with 3 pin
and I looked at my boreus and I only use the same plug ins as yours exept I have fan 2 also connected. I am unsure I would fire a quick message off to Matt at coolit and if he doesn't know he will get you the answer.

Hi Russtynailz..Thanks for your help & the email link.
The cable I need to find out about is the one in the picture on my previous post that is on top of the MTEC control box.The cable is hanging over the side a little bit.
I know it's nearly impossible to get a good idea from 1 picture but maybe someone had the same question as mine and found an answer?
I like your case photo by the way very nice a Boras way to go.Did you have an Elite and move up to the Boras or just go straight to the Boras?
By the way did the *addons* in your last photo come with the Boras?? If yes I'm buying one right now lol !!
ps I just got an Elite today I'm impressed with it's build, looks a little smaller than the original Freezone units,
I'm looking forward to seeing it performance on a 920 first stepping cpu I have sitting in a box for the past 8 months.
for now..

I haven't tried 3/8" tubes, so just try them and c if it leaks . You can always use tie-wraps, as I use them with the 5/16" tubes to tighten them onto my FZE's. Although 0.75mm seems little, water is very thin

@viking88: The 2 wire cable can be connected onto 1 of the 4 fan connectors. It's for the blue coolit logo on the side of the unit.
