Before that I had it on a q6600 @ 3.9ghz with 1.65v for 24/7 use and that never hit any higher then 70c.
I don't know how well the Eliminators work but if it's comparable then it should do the job great! thumb.gif

75c for that 2600k is a pants to be honest, You could get lower with a normal watercooling loop frown.gif

I thought my temps were high with it as well since I could run my q6600 @ 1.65v @ 3.9ghz and never go above 70c while the 2600k @ 1.36v hits 75c. The mounting for the cpu block seems to be a bit off to the side of the cpu which maybe causing the higher temps as I honestly got better temps with an H70, which I know the H70 doesn't outperform the FZE.

No, It's Celsius. But that was while running prime95 with SmallFFT's.

Welcome to the Club!

I am running a Boreas for a CPU-only loop.

Very soon, I expect you will have an itch to enhance these new toys.  Let me give you a few tips for a good head start.

1)  Block:- my max CPU load temp (i7 965EE) drops 4-6C when I changed the stock block to a Heatkiller 3.0.

2)  Pump:- when the stock pump died on me, I changed to a MCP35X and the max CPU load temp drops another 2C.  (I am still using the lowest flowrate and have no time to experiment on the effect of flowrate on the cooling capacity.)

3) Insulation:- you might consider adding insulation to the black heat exchange chambers

4) Airflow:- airflow does have an impact on the efficiency of the TEC chiller.  Try your best to give the intake fan an unobstructed path of fresh ambient air.  If you can place the Eliminators outside of a case, they will be much happier.

Also, suggest you to create a sig rig (click 'My Profile' at top) so that we all know your full system spec.

I like to see what companions are your two Eliminators going to play with.wink.gif

I'm not going to keep them, only bought them to play around with as they wont cope with a 2500k and a couple of decent GPU's...

Meh... both of them have a small leak and the CPU cooler has a bad pump, sounds like there's a wasp inside it!
