Any word on if the attached driver will work for Vista x64? I've been scouring the web for the past hour trying to get it to work... the older versions had trouble with driver signing or something that had to be changed through command prompt. Does this version fix it? Right now I can't tell if its the driver, or my soldering that's bad.

Edit: I've created a guide to use this mod in Vista x64

Did this a looong time ago with another guide on the internet.

Of course I used my scissors, scotch tape, and my fingers... didn't have many supplies.

Still working today.

Actually the extra wire isn't for a headset. It runs in sync with the H-Sync of your television. Best guesses is that it would have been used for a light gun or some sort of on-screen drawing tool. It was never used.

My xbox controller has 6 wires:
red
yellow
black
white
green
blue
And my USB that I'm using has 4 wires:
black
red
white
green
Do I ignore the black and yellow wires on the controller, and splice the black USB wire and blue controller wire?
Well, the original post says the controller colours should match the USB colours, so my guess (and it is a guess) would be that the yellow and blue wires on the controller are the ones to ignore.

Ignore the blue and yellow wires from your controller. Just match up the red/red, black/black, white/white, green/green.

Edit: Woops! Old thread is old. spam1.gif
