$2,400 build - Page 3

Eh, the 295s are sold out everywhere anyway.

I'm leaning towards a cheaper GPU setup since I can always upgrade to the GT300 when it's released.
keep in mind if you do get 285 sli or whatever, you can still easily get $550+ for both those cards when gt300 comes out

and if he goes 3 way sli for cheaper than two gtx285's, he can get atleast $500-600 for those as well.

Where are you shipping to that there will be tax? It would also help with offering build assistance

I'm still thinking about going with a lower end card since I don't really sell online and I'll be future proof for the next series. Thinking between a 275 or a 4870 (not a 4890 despite the price difference).
just get the 275 that is good enough. good build by the way.

Craigslist. Don't always need to do it online..

I got $600 for my GTX 295 on Craigslist.

Also, if you guys can make suggestions I don't have to match the price. In fact, I'd prefer if the price was lower as I went over my initial budget several times.

And can you guys link me to the cooler you're suggesting? Can't seem to find it at Newegg or Amazon.

Thanks!

Btw, case I am getting is Antec 1200. I was debating between it and the HAF, but I'm just way too turned off by the look to have it on my desk everyday. Also, it doesn't have dust filters.
if your looking to save a fistful of dollars, I have the coolermaster v8 and am upgrading to the v10 (getting it on tues if ups is right) its about 2 months old like bran new. have the box and everything it came with and will throw in some arctic silver 5 (left overs) for $45 and you pay postage.

enclosed is a picture of it installed in my rig

the v8 works well and has gotten very good reviews- google it
I'm also selling the dominator airflow memory fan too.

the v10 covers whole top half of the motherboard and cools ram so i dont need the memory cooler.

I'm going to replace the stock fans in the v10 with two noctua p12's for nice and quiet tec/air hybrid cpu/memory cooling. so i'll have some red led coolermaster 2000 max rpm 4 pin fans also (will practically give those away-- say $5 for both) but i think they are wired together so you may need to find another plug if you want them to be independant from eachother.

for the $$ im spending on
Cooler Master RR-B2P-UV10-GP Hybrid PWM TEC CPU Cooler -
Arctic Clean - Thermal Material Remover and Surface Purifier -
Noctua (NF-P12-1300 )1300rpm Premium Silent 120mm Fan - Sleeved
SHIN-ETSU X23-7783D Thermal Compount 0.5 Gram Tube
I prolly could have gone H20 cooling (if you count my cost for the v8 and the corsair mem fan) but this is my first build and want to stay on air for this one
