IxTk 'Red Arm' cascade cools a 920 D0 slept in a Classified: 250x21 @1.41vCORE :)

Well, I've started playing with this board yesterday and had hard times figuring out how to properly use it.

Both the motherboard and the chip aren't hand picked... just out of the box.

So please don't pay attention to time efficiency, it's more likely brutal BCLK clocking here. As you'll see it was required to sacrify timings in order to push up the BCLK.

Code:
M/B:eVGA Classified 760
CPU:Intel Core-i7 920 D0 3849A772
CPU cooling:IxTk 'Red Arm' Cascade (R290 / R23) -84C evap loaded
Memory:OCZ PC3-16000 CL7 1.65v
VGA:Gigabyte X800XL
HDD:Western Digital 500GB SATA-II
Power Supply:Cooler-Master 850W

114MHz pci-e finally proved to be good enough.

1.35vtt was too much, I used 1.3v.

By setting maxmem to 600 and Memory Low Gap to 2.5Gb I did 248.4x21 Spi32M as well. I've to say, to improve stability at very high BCLK, maxmem=600 is mandatory, nothing to do with efficiency but with stability.

Tomorrow I'll put the setup under another cascade...

awesome! =o) Any chance you can find a spot where the temps are too cold for the board to boot?

Thanks I got a boring cold-boot at -40C with this board (-86C on the DFI DK X58 which is probably the CPU bug)

Thanks for the BIOS shots.

At what Bclock did you start to change the CPU skew?

Thx.

Well, almost immediately while being stuck at 222BCLK during air cooling pretests. I can't say if it really improved something at that time, I mean I finally reached 226BCLK air cooled but with a couple of other adjustments.

BTW when hitting a wall at 242BCLK under cascade, I really tried it to find that 600ps to 300ps looked like the limits of the appropriate range. Sp I assume skew ps adjustement to be required in order to reach 240+.

Here's 248.4x21. Time is awfull for those clocks but I had to loose timings in order to push out the BCLK.

249x21 is possible I guess.

Well I've spent hours trying to brake 7mins but the system is too unstable; looks like it won't succeed, each time it's computing as fast as required, it never ever passes 23th loop no matter the clocks... looks like bandwidth unstability to me.
