You've definitely got low volts for your CPU, I can't go below 1.23 before it's BSOD time. Oh, so HT on and off actually require different voltages? Interesting. I just completed a Prime95 run (Large FFTs) of eight hours, 100% stable at 4.0 GHz, 1.23 CPU Voltage and HT off. Maximum temperature was 71C and never budged, room ambient is 81F. If I enable HT, it only adds about 5C to my maximum temperature.
Once I move my drive cage from the middle three slots on my case down below to the lower three slots (Lian-Li A17B), then install 120x38mm Panaflos front (via a Lian-Li BZ-502) and rear, I'll have a lot of cool air blowing in the middle of the board, I'm hoping I get slightly cooler temperatures under that steup.
I also have available a Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme 1366RT, I'm wondering if my temperatures will be much better under that heatsink? ...with it having six heatpipes. I've read with this heatsink that contact pressure isn't great, with the ability to still move the heatsink (wiggle) even although it's screwed down.Edited by aln688 - 6/16/09 at 1:45pm
