147w possible factors coretemp version, x21 multiplier, or motherboard bios problem causing the 147w-130w difference? ecaftermath maybe try coretemp beta version... narrow it down. looks like your not alone, someone else said theyve experienced it too
I tried the coretemp 0.95.5 beta same thing 147.3 watts. your turbo mode is disable, same as robilar. enable turbo mode to up the multi to 21 and see what you get. I suggest back down on your oc a bit, those temp are a bit hot.

so i guess it's really the 21x multiplier that's causing it huh..
i guess i should just go back to 20x?

which one is better/efficient? 20x or 21x?

So are these coming through newegg yet?

I am on the verge of ordering another i7 system, and I would hate to end up with a c0 stepping again.

We ordered to 920's for work, both were D0. I went to Fry's close by and bought my own, replacing my C0. So far i'm at 4.4ghz, where i was maxing at 3.8 on the C0.

I'm gonna lap the CPU tonight, or over next few days. Gotta go get supplies in a bit.

Got some pics of the lap from last night. I should probably learn how to do the thumbnails at some point.... sorrty for putting these images in like this.

Ran OCCT this morning for 45 min and got a screenshot. Gonna try to up BCLK to 215 to eek out 4.5Ghz later.

Those temps look ok?

Yeah, for HT Off those are reasonable temps. Why disable HT? This is one of the best things in i7. Are you gaming a lot? If so, then its fine!

BTW, nice job with the lap!

I'm a flash developer and we're working on a massive file that has gone from 30 seconds to publish to over a minute. We actually just bought 2 new i7 machines at work to handle it, for me and my coworker. We had stock e8500's and they couldn't hang. It only shaves off 20seconds or so (i7 vs e8500) but we publish so much for testing that the time really adds up.

Honestly I never ran any tests on HT on/off as far as publishing time goes. I just noticed that Flash used less % of the processor when I had HT on, so I turned it off.

I'll run some tests later when I get my final stable OC. I'll probably kick it down to 4.2 when all is said and done for a 24/7 build, with much less voltage.
