Intel i7 920 D0 Owners Thread - Page 29

Raising the PCI-E seemed to help, but I read a long time ago that a higher PCI-E can permenantly damage my GPU's and Soundcard. Is that still true? What is a safe PCI-E setting before damage starts getting done?

I can boot and do everything fine, but it wont pass Linpack or OCCT at 215....even 215x18 or something. 212 is the highest it's stable, which is 4.45GHz, which is nice. It just kinda sucks I get the ONE Classified that has a bunk bclk lol. And I spent $525 on this board!
That really sucks is it at least the 759 version? Still able to return it? Maybe sell it off and grab an MSI pro or gigabyte. Heard the MSI's can go way beyond 220.

Look Here

No hard mod or anything The guys here really make me feel bad about my overclock

From what I hear the most it can cause is hdd curruption it seems like graphic cards can handle a boost in pcie. My onboard lan stopped working at past 110 on my old ud3r rev 1.6 board. If your onboard lan is unaffected I doubt anything else would be.

The guys here are running up to 130 pcie

Do you think I should try updating my BIOS? It's whatever the board came with, I know it's not the latest version. I wasn't sure if updating it would help anything so I didn't bother.

edit-Upon more reading, it seems no Classified can boot past 222, we have to boot into Windows and then use E-LEET to raise it up, and it should work fine.

Well I am stable at 4.4GHz and 1.375 vcore / 1.375 vtt now. I will keep lowering voltage until I find the sweet spot.

Didn't seem to help temps too much though, hottest core went from 75c down to 72c, and my average temp across all 4 cores is 69.75c.

I have both NB and QPI at 18x multi too.

Updating the bios could help, but it really sucks that you cant boot past 221 on the classified considering the price

Thats a very nice vcore for 4.4! Hope you manage to get it even lower

Does anyone know what kind of overclocker a 3901A is? My dad just bought one from Microcenter but hasn't fired it up yet.

What are the best D0 batches?
