Sound very quiet on windows 7

Thread Starter
just as the title says, "maximum" sound is just not very loud at all. It's noticeably louder on my vista partition.

I'm using realtek windows vista x64 drivers on windows 7.

sound on the windows level in the system tray is all the way up, as long with whatever playback program I'm using.

anyone else having this problem?

Nope, my sound is the same. Did you install the drivers under compatibility mode? If not, try that, it might help. Hope it helps.
