Well call me baffled.

I am having issues keeping this memory stable at 1110MHz. Went for 1174 and ran into lockups and other issues. Dropped it to 1150 and ran into similar problems.

So I figured I would start low. 1110 is only a 44MHz OC and is listed in CPU-ID as a target range for this memory at 5-5-5-18-34 2T @ 1.8v. Used those settings and ran memtest over night. 17 passed runs. So this morning I play a few games and no problem. All of the sudden it starts crashing with the nonpaged error BSOD while performed some simple, non taxing apps. I bumped the voltage to 1.86... it happened again.. now I bumped it to 1.9v and no crash yet.

This is just stupid. Everyone else is hitting mid 11's at least with this memory and I can't even run stable in the low 11's with this damn RAM. I am thisssss close to going back to my Mushkin RAM and ditching this OCZ stuff all together.

If they run better go back to them. But I wouldnt discount your OCZ sticks yet. It sounds to me like you have something in your system as a conflict, and not just the RAM.

I'm hitting 1150Mhz with my none low voltage 1066 blades

Had another crash at 1110 and 1.9v. I'm giving up on this stuff. I've read a few things about Asus and OCZ that leads me to believe that they don't get along.

Back to the Mushkins I guess.

If anyone is in the market for 8GBs of this OCZ RAM, drop me a PM.

Are the crashes memtest+ verified? I mean, does it put out errors?

And you are running 8GB. If you would run 4GB you would have much better results.

I would have to agree. 2 DIMMs are much easier to stabilize then 4.

That is your problem.

AM2+ IMC's are designed to handle 2 sticks in DDR2 1066 mode or 4 sticks in DDR2 800 mode. (No Cas restrictions though.)

You are probably not able to stabalize because of the amount of RAM not the RAM itself.

No, I'm only running 4gb. But I have 8 gigs of the stuff.

BTW, its not the memory. I had the nonpaged BSOD again with my Mushkin at 1088. So I have something else up with my setup. I recently made two page files (one on my OS hard drive and one on a storage drive) to see if that helps things out. That maybe the problem. I went ahead and took the page file off the second disk.

Its a WIP for sure.
