The Cooler Master Storm Sniper Club - Page 119

Wow, I like how many Snipers I've seen with the 750 corsair PSU powering them. Built two at work already with those and I have one myself and a couple other guys here have it as well. Actually Corsair in general seems to a very popular PSU choice, I like how the paint finish is ever so similar to that of the finish on the Sniper already so it just fits so nice. And just worth a mention, Impossible you have a nice Rig setup there, I especially like the 80s era intercom on your wall behind your PC. You should have went with the G15, the screen is actually very handy now that alot of new games are actually using it.

PS for the Fan noise problem try sticking some very small pieces of 1/16" or even 1/8" rubber in between the fan and the case or if you can get some rubber type fan mounts. I redid all my fans with rubber mounts and it cut down the rattles considerably.

ok, looking at getting another case while my scout is being painted, what is the biggest video card you can fit into this case without modding?

I had that same thing. When I pushed down on the metal net the top fan is connected to it went away.
My fix was to put some shoe goo (thick silicon) on my finger and smash it in between the center flat part of the fan, and the metal net. Just a pea size blob or so. It hardened and hold the fan and metal net apart so they don't vibrate together.

K, so starting to install a small 240radiator in the top paneland was all set to go push/pull with it.

Few quick questions - would I want to draw the air in to the case in this setup or pull from the case and push the hot air out? I know with WC you want cool air but I realized if i pulled air in it would blow hot air inside the case and currently the only fan I have blowing hot air back out is the rear exhaust, all the other 200mm fans are pulling in air.

Second- since I am trying push pull, the radiator is too thick obviously to mount it purely internal push/pull - so I have it mounted internal with fans underneath that will either push or pull, and then on the exterior top I plan on having the other fans on top. - here I run into my first issue - the plastic panel blocks out the back end of fans near the lift handle so I will need to take a dremel to it.

BUT, it appears I have to remove the whole wiring harness out of the case to pull the top plastic panel off.... I THOUGHT that I could just snap off the front control panel (the usb, power, knobs part) out of this top panel with ease so I could have free access to the top panel for modding... but after taking off two screws that I thought held it in, I got zero movement from that lil panel portion.

I wanted to apply more force but have been prone to breaking plastic items with ease in the past - can anyone state in a clear fashion how they removed this control panel from the top plastic bezel?

take a look at the link in my sig.
i am almost done with my md-it might answer one of your questions.
i will help where i can-if you want it.

the front panel-after you take out the screws, there is still a metal "STICKER" on top ,(the one with the writing on it) that hold it in place.
i took a hair dryer to heat it up, loosen the glue, and used a putty knife to pull it up. (i get a rep for this-lol, took me a day to figure it out)
i put a fan controller where my front IO panel was-see my mod/link
