On the bottom and top (not inside the case, when you open up the top or the bottom) there are screw holes and a place for more fans that are bigger than 120mm, are they 140mm fans that go there?

Basically got the frame powder coated along with the rear side panel...didnt come out too well, but it will do for now. It has a few blemishes here and there, but mainly on the rear side panel. some updated hardware as well and my new rams and PSU.

You just cannot imagine how easy it is to work with flat ribbon cables compared to the fat ones. This PSU is just awesome, quiet and takes a good amount of load.
So.. ummm... yeah. You wouldn't happen to be in the New England area, would you? I could use some pro-tips for cable management on mine.. kinda looks like it was done at the Perkins School for the blind..

How'd you mount the fan in the drive bays? I'd like to do that myself.

How do lots of people here not use any kind of optical drive?
I can't put a fan there is mine, I use the optical drives all the time.

Thanks..

Anyway on the fan in the 5.25" drive bay, there is a DVD drive as well as a HDD up there and the fan is between the two. Actually there are two Yate loon high speeds there, both connected to the fan controller. One is just behind the front mesh and the second is near the end of the same area. This provides good cool air from the front of the case to the CPU cooler and keeps the whole area including rams a lot cooler than they would be otherwise.

I have used the god of all double sided tapes for this. Just stick the fans to the top of the DVD drive with 3M double sided tape and they wont move at all. Works well and dampens any vibrations as well.

A fan will easily fit in 3 drive bays...so go for it...am looking for a better fan for the bottom near the PSU, as the Noctua kind of clashes with my choice of colours. I think I will get a Blue/Black Xigmatek down there.

Huh good idea.
My ram etc in that area stays pretty cool though.
The mobo temps only gets to 35C idle.

Thats a really good idea though

I did a little experimenting with fans and found that a better rear exhaust 120mm seemed to lower my cpu temps by about 2c. I tried an SilenX 120 14 dba, Enermax Magma and Enermax Apollish 120mm , over the Stock Cooler Master.

The SilenX was actually really good but, Could not get a correct RPM reading on my MOBO, would read 25,000rpm. But, I did notice a 2-3c CPU temp drop and very quiet.
The Magma 120, looked good, lowered CPU temps 2c but got a irritating high pitched buzz at anything over 1150rpm.
Finally the Apollish, w thermistor, LED, Did a really good job and looks great. 2-3c CPU drop, very quiet @ 1200 rpm and higher. I was going to short the Thermistor as it did interfere with MoBo speed control. But , decided to disable the MoBo control and see how it did. Works Well, runs at 1150 -1210+-.

I tried the coolermaster in the case bottom, exhausting. Actually raised the MoBo temps 2-3c. Had no effect on CPU temps. Took it out and temps went down again. All other Case fans were left on low. V8 fan set around 1050 rpm exhausting to the rear, to feed the rear exhaust fan.
