Just finished transferring my rig to the storm sniper from an antec 902 and i must say, this thing DWARFS the 902..its HUGE!!

Some observations:

1. At first my top fan wasnt working, and i relaized i forgot to connect the power lol, so once I did that, I was fine

Whats weird is that, my CPU idle temps were 5 degrees cooler while the top fan wasnt working?? doesnt make much sense does it?

2. I noticed my mobo temps are 5-6 degrees on average higher than in the antec 902

3. gpu temps are 1-2 degrees higher than in the antec 902

Once the top fan started working, my cpu idle temps went back to about the same temp as in my 902 (30-32c)

Overall I like the case alot, I feel like i can cheat a bit with the wire management because of the huge bulging side panels in the back and the fact that the case isnt windowed

im just kinda annoyed that my temps went up lol...

The Antec 90X cases are really good for air cooling..you'd be hard pressed to find a case with better air cooling capabilities.

Do you have a side fan installed?

yup, side fan is installed on the sniper, the 902 had no side fan, just the stock fans...

Ordered a blue cm 140mm fan for the bottom port in the case but I'm thinking that will only affect my gpu temps?

Any tips or suggestions as to why my case temps would have increased from my antec 902? Maybe put another fan blowing towards the mobo in the 5.25 bay area? What do you guys think?

Are your fans running at full speed?

Also, make sure you don't have any cables blocking the intake/exhaust fans that might be limiting airflow.

If you transferred cases, did you take off your CPU cooler? Maybe re-apply the TIM?

Best thing is putting a fan in the 5.25 bay (which is actually 5.75) if possible, then remove the side 200mm fan and cover the inside of the mesh with Plexiglas and or get the clear side all together. Doing so should result in lower temps all around, if you read through the forums you'll notice this topic comes up every so often and the same conclusion is drawn every time. Ditch the 200mm, add a front 120mm or 140mm and reduce air drag as much as possible on the right side panel.

Well i was so happy with my first Sniper (see link in sig), i bought another one.

i just noticed i need to do some cleaning-lol (and a new camera-lol)
i had to buy the side panel thumb screws-they are just so cool.

this one is running-
940 @3.7ghz w/H50 cooler
2x4890s
8gigs DDR2 1066.
i replaced the 200mm side fan with 2x120 80cfm fans and 1x120 on the bottom.
also 2x60mm over the NB
