The Cooler Master Storm Sniper Club - Page 238

Additional fans?

If I understand correctly, the case does not come with the side 200 mm fan and the bottom 120 mm fan. Is it recommended that I purchase those additional fans? If so, are there particular CM fan models I should purchase?

Also, from what I understand, this case comes with what I need to install a 2.5" SSD drive, right? (aside from the SATA cable)

Thanks again.

The side 200mm fan is a Coolermaster R4-LUS-10AB-GP (Blue LEDs), but good luck finding one. Any 200mm fan will work, but I am unaware of any other that will allow you to switch off the LEDs with the rest of the fans.

The bottom fan can be any 120mm or 140mm fan, but the same goes for the lights.

What you could do, is switch out the top fan for 2 120mm fans, and then reuse the 200mm on the side panel. I have had success in rewiring 120mm TT blue LED fans, so that the lights could be switched on and off with the LEDs on the rest of my system.

See THIS post. The resistor is 270 Ohm 1/2 watt, which gave the TT fan's LEDs the same brightness as the rest of the fans in the Storm sniper. I'm sure this mod can be done to any 12V fan that you can access, cut and resolder the power feeds to the LEDs on. You can't access the feeds on all fans, as many are fed from inside the motor housing. I've ruined a few of these fans trying to do the same type of mod, so YMMV.

hoped that helped.

Mine came with three 200mm led fans. I've removed the top one to put my radiator in so I have an extra if anyone is interested.

Mine also had 3 200mm fans.

As I am replacing the rear 120 mm fan with the fans/radiator on my H70, can I use that fan for the bottom?
